Also known as “tapioca” or “pearls”, boba originated in Taiwan and are made of the starch derived from cassava root, and is the main ingredient in bubble tea. When prepared perfectly, boba becomes sweet, soft, yet chewy, and translucent with a gummy bear-like texture. Available in ¼” and ⅛”, Tea Zone boba is packaged and vacuum sealed, allowing a shelf life of six (6) months. Options include regular Tapioca, “Grade A” tapioca, Tiny Tapioca, Green Tea Tapioca (seasonal) and White Tapioca (seasonal).
